Orange Introduces Windmill Charger! Go Camping in Wild!

Assume you are camping out in the wild and you are stuck in an emergency. Fortunately, your cellphone catches the signal. You are happy. In the wild no less! But, oops! Things are again in the dark as your battery has just died as you dialed 911. All your bad luck. Wish you had a wind charger that could charge your cellphone and you could have been located and saved by rescue workers.

But no worries now! You must show your appreciation to the great endeavor in creating this wind powered cellphone charger. Weighing mere 150grams, a mini windmill set atop your tent will do your entire job to charge your cellphone. You must be curious by now who did this wonder?

Well, British company Orange created this windmill charger in collaboration with GotWind, whose is famous for its aim to make available unique and economical ways to lower the carbon footprint in day-to-day everyday life. This windmill charger bears a three fold basic design. This feathery windmill transfers energy into a control box battery system, which is used up to charge the cellphone. This windmill charger is made up of the standard horizontal axis wind turbine (HAWT) type, with a blade propeller of diameter 30cm. As the wind blows, this windmill charger provides a half watt charge to your cell. This small wind is enough to drip charge a rechargeable battery and you will get a fully charged cellphone within1-2 hours, not bad actually.

It is fantastic that a solar powered charger will do just as good as wind, but at the same point, often the sun is shy behind a cloudy day, you know, wind has just no restrictions at all, and so it gets merit over solar energy. Now, what all waited is a bigger option. What about a charger for TV? Lol! But it would be great, no doubt!
