[tag] Hitachi [/tag] is working with devotion to develop some new technologies that will enable the company to launch the first [tag] Blu-ray camcorder [/tag] very soon. This new technology will allow the user to record at least [tag] 1080P [/tag] on the tiny 3in blu ray disc that is near to 7GB in the video. This is not any extra ordinary device but still better when compared to the DVDs.

The unique features of this new technology are an optical head for blu-ray/DV along with an image processing LSI. The encoding used for the device is AVC/H.264 MPEG-4 for the high def material and MPEG-2 for the standard definition stuff.

However, it is quite unconvincing to invest in a blu ray disc in spite of a large availability of the [tag] HD camcorders [/tag] that provide the facility to record directly on the hard disk drives.

One of the biggest moves from [tag]Philips[/tag] is they are now using LED to power its[tag]Ambilight[/tag] technology. The 47-inch 47PFL9732D, and 52-inch 52PFL7432D both share the company’s trademark[tag]Ambilight[/tag] system for dynamically changing colored lights behind the display to fit the mood in supporting movies.

 

Philips has also thrown in a 120Hz refresh rate, we should see picture quality significantly improved on both sets. According to Philips both the 47-inch and 52-inch sets have standard two-channel embedded speakers.

Samsung has been a little busy this year, making their[tag] 1080p[/tag] displays which features full 1920 x[tag] 1080p[/tag] resolution. You can watch it’s surprisingly crisp picture from any angle in a room. If you are looking for a plasma set, and want true[tag] 1080p[/tag] resolution the T5084 is what you are looking for.
