Well, AMD targets people who utilize the computer as their major means of entertainment, and this is the time to launch a wonder range of ATI TV products that bring both the analog and digital worlds at a single platform. Both the products look a lot like a USB flash drive that can be plugged into your desktop or notebook to enjoy the world of high definition TV (HDTV) into the soothing environment of your living room, along with digital video recording facilities. What are the two devices being lined up today? They are ATI TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe and the ATI TV Wonder 600 USB, grand products with great new features.

The ATI TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe makes a wonderful gadget with an incredible combination of tuner DVR that comes with ClearQAM tuning, allowing you to stay on the receiving end of unencrypted digital content that is made available from their local cable television provider. More to your interest, you get the knack of switching between analog and digital TV to watch and record a digital TV program of your choice while watching or recording another analog TV channel at the same time. But what I think that finding time to watch all recorded shows would be big headache but that’s again making an interesting problem to have. As far as the question of the external plug-and-play ATI TV Wonder 600 USB is concerned, this electronic gadget can turn your computer into an instant DVR together with a horde of features making a multimedia buff pleased.

Both devices run by AMD’s very own Catalyst Media Center software that works without a glitch with Windows Vista Media Center and Windows XP Media Center Edition efficiently. AMD has been designed and developed with an aim of making the computer as the digital hub in all living rooms in the future, and this is like the first step to make a dream come true. The ATI TV Wonder 600 USB features a small IR remote control, an A/V input adapter for video capture from a camcorder or VCR running through the above mentioned bundled software. Well, price is not disclosed yet but both the gadgets are expected to hit North America by September at the most.
